The CDC’s Disability and Health Data System (DHDS), an online tool that allows users to view state-level data on adults with disabilities, was recently updated to include data from the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) from 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019. Users can access information about conditions that impact cognition, hearing, independent living, mobility, vision, and self-care, in addition to more than 30 other health topics, such as obesity, smoking, diabetes, and heart disease. Users can tailor their searches with customizable maps, charts, and tables to learn about specific states and regions, identify health differences between those with and those without disabilities, and break down data by sex/gender, ethnicity, and age.
